Vegokoll - The Vegan Labeling App
Vegokoll is an Android app developed by Djurens Rätt, a Swedish animal rights organization. It is a free app that falls under the Lifestyle category. Vegokoll offers a simple and clear vegan labeling system that helps consumers who do not want to eat animal-based products.
This app allows you to easily check for products that have no label containing animal ingredients. All you have to do is use your cellphone to photograph the barcode on the product packaging, and the app will look up information about its contents in the animals' legal database of animal-friendly products. The labeling system used by Vegokoll is trademarked as "100% VEGANSKT®. Approved by Animal Rights" and is Sweden's first vegan labeling system.
